Can i jet my own drains with my power washer ?
You can buy a drain jetting accessory for your karcher pressure washer from online shops like sparesgiant.com but they have limitations.......
Industrial drain jetters have a high flow rate water output to ensure they wash away any blockages. A domestic pressure washer will have a water flow rate of around 7 litres per minute. Industrial drain jetters usually have a flow rate of between 30 and 90 litres per minute. The low flow rate of a domestic pressure washer restricts the diameter and length of pipe that can be cleaned. As a rule of thumb a domesti power washer will power the hose up a 4 inch drain to about 6 metres. If the pipe has a wider diameter the distance will reduce.
